Faith like a child

Simeon loves "daddy time." It is just built into him. I often fail him and my wife with my fallen nature. I can't be the perfect father and husband that they need. Regardless, he loves, tr
usts (even when I throw him into big piles of leaves), and longs to be with me. I've never known love like this. Last night I laid him down in his crib and like he usually does, he just talked and played for a half hour. But at one point, he just yelled out, "Daddy! I love you!" Janet and I just looked at each other and melted.

I think I'm understanding what Jesus meant when he said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Leslie has done it yet again on her blog--putting into words the joys of this life and I feel like Simeon, just crying out to God, "I love you! Thanks for everything, I want to be with you!"
