on an island

I can't disclose details, but if you read this, can you stop and pray for some dear friends of ours in the Philippines? (not the Reichenbachers if that's who you're thinking). They are facing tremendous discouragement and heartache these days. It is almost too big to think about. Pray that the Lord Almighty would carry them through this...thanks.

while i was out...

I don't know why I have gone on such a long spell with no blog entries. Maybe because it is such a slow and relaxing summer up here in Chicago. I also feel like people may want to know how the trip went or what has come of it. I can't give an answer in that area. The trip was smooth and full of divine appointments. In fact, I would say that if somebody wanted a 2 week auto-tour of the former Yugoslavia, they couldn't have bargained for such a trip as we had. But what will come of the trip? Don't know. Time may have to tell.

However, while I was gone, my wonderful son Simeon was in his first wedding as a ring bearer. Here are some pictures. What a guy!
