I'm sorry

I've removed my last two posts. I am sorry for the many offensive things I wrote. I am also sorry for bringing up stupid things from the past that had already been cleared up. This is a flesh-feeding temptation for me and I am too quick to hold grudges and lay guilt trips. At this point, with this topic, I don't trust myself with this keyboard so I'm taking some time off. I hope you don't think there is any sarcasm in this post, I am truly sorry and ask your forgiveness.

Thoughts from an Albanian

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I took this picture in Kosovo. I was told that at many points in history it was an Orthodox Church, Catholic Church, and a Mosque. Its remains tell the story.

Just at a point when I was going to bow out of this theological/semantical/ecclesiological discussion and move onto more lighthearted topics, some thought provoking comments surfaced on some recent posts. Sorry, I know that this discussion is not so "intelectually stimulating" (as I read it described on Blogodoxy.com), but here they are:

I already wrote something, put it up, and then erased it. I realized it was too angry and accusatory... Not productive in any way.
Let's begin with, I am a kosovar albanian. This will bias me in what I write, and you in how you interpret my writing.
You cannot talk about the mountaintop until you have been to the mountaintop. Not having been in the war in Kosovo, you will not understand the Cynicism in Pavel's speeches. If you had lived with serbians all your life, and had experienced them up close you would know that no serbian would ever dare to assasinate the head of their church. Especially not during a war campaign against a much smaller and unarmed nation than yourself. The war could not have happened without Pavel's permission, allow me to discreetly remind you, that he could have ordered every serbian in the Military to stand down, and they would have. He is not only the head cleric, he is serbian as well, they could not have gone on with it. You do realize that the cleansing of Kosovo would benefit him directly cause he could move to his seat in Peja, where he believes it should be.
Albanians have three religions, Muslim, Catholic and Orthodox, and they all live in peace and harmony. i am a protestant (another piece of bias for you out there), and we are not liked, because I am a convert, and considered the worst of scum by probably all parties.
The whole division of church is what turns off kosovo to the Gospel. the Serbain orthodox killed us by the thousands just because they could, the Vatican promised and promised support and never delivered, and so we were delivered into the hands of evil men, Ottomans. They protected us, ged us, sure they beat us up occasionaly, but if we did what they wanted they let us live. As soon as the Ottomans became our Pimps, they began whoring us out to other countries, using our people for military purposes, and our women for Harems. And so the oldest Christian Culture in the Balkans got assimilated because none of its religious affiliates ever helped them. And so for 500 years we were muslims... At the end of this vicious reign, the ottomans now known as the jonTurks left us... and where does our fate end up in, LONDON, a Protestant (sortta) country... what do they do? treat us like what we had become and sell us out to the Serbians.
I must applaud the leadership of all three of these churches, for having treated the nation that spread Christianity in its real form around the Balkans, like it is worth nothing, and having traded her for silver (literaly). The Albanians will remain muslim, out of spite... and they might be right.
I have to go to class now, and I will come back, and soften the tone of this piece a little. Until then, be blessed,
Mustafa

Now that you have read my last blog, I must add one last thing, I did not write any of that in order to get anyone angry, or to offend anyone. I was only showing the demise of a church that is as old as 1900 years now, through constant betrayal and backstabbery in that area. Rom 15:19, is a vese I like in proving when our church began.
